How to build a WordPress site in less than 5 min using AWS

Hello everyone, In this article, I'll be talking about how anyone can set up a fully running WordPress site in less than 5 mins.

For this purpose, we are going to use AWS Lightsail.

So let's begin

Open Lightsail

Open the Lightsail panel. Check the image below to find Lightsail or just search it on the search bar and click on it.

Once you have opened it. It will look something like this.

Create WordPress site

To create a WordPress site just click on the "Create instance" button.

Once you click on the marked button, your screen will look something like this

Now filling out this form is way easier than you think.

Choose Platform & Blueprint

In the first section, as you can see in the image above. Check to select the Platform you wanted to host your WordPress site.

I am going with the default value. But you can choose either Linux/Unix or Windows.

Blueprint

We are going with the default option here.

Instance Plan

Here you can choose the properties of the server in which your WordPress site is going to be hosted. I would recommend the $10 Plan.

Instance name

Now you can name your instance, whatever you wanted.

Now just click on the "Create instance" button & it will create your WordPress site.

Once you have click on the "Create instance" button. Your WordPress site will begin to start. Wait for approx 4-5 minutes for setting it up.

Start WordPress

Once your WordPress site status changes to "Running" open the instance. It will look something like this.

Now we need to retrieve the password for your WordPress site. To do so, click on the "Connect using SSH" button. It will open a console window like this

Now run command on the console

cat bitnami_application_password

This command will show you the password for your site

Now we are all done.

Open WordPress Site

Copy the "Public IP" from the marked area & paste it to the web browser.

To open the admin panel write the URL like this - 52.66.205.83/wp-admin/

Then you can log in to your admin panel using the username "user" & password that you get from that console.

So this is all. Using this super easy process you can start your WordPress site.
